34 Weeks

34 weeks and counting ... not too long to go now.

My gorgeous girl

Wrong? You decide.

Yesterday Liz took Holly and Harry to the library for story time. Holly took out a dozen or so books and proudly  bought them home to show me.  Last night after our girls night (Andrew's away and Harry had a sleepover with Grandma) we curled up in bed and started to read the new pile of books.  The first one we read was lovely, the second one however was a little different.  We have a few baby books floating around our house - nice books that explain that Mummy is having a baby and the excitement that goes with it.  This particular book was called "Our Baby".  It started off quite innocent, a few pages it explains the mother is having a home birth (also quite fine), but then half way through, I turn the page and this is what we are looking at ........

I was not expecting to see this - I don't really have a problem with it, Holly is quite geared up with information on where baby's come from and how they arrive into the world, but when you are not expecting these images .... well my reaction was to laugh my arse off ... it seriously caught me by surprise ... yes I know, very immature response!  Then this .....
and then we finish off with a nice explanation of how the Mummy deliverers the placenta and the other siblings all crowd around it to have a look ....
I'm sure it is perfectly acceptable - I certainly know my cousin - who has had a home birth and her other kids watched - and is studying like a madwoman to become a midwife - would think this is great ....
Me ? .... the Jury is still out.
Although I still laugh when I see the pictures!

Musical beds

Andrew is in Sydney all this week, so Grandma Liz has come to help out.  Holly kindly gave up her bed last night so Grandma didn't have to sleep on the couch.  Holly was very excited about sleeping in the top bunk of Harry's bed for the first time.  I wasn't too sure how it would go as she hasn't ever been too fussed about the idea of sleeping up the top. I went in the check on them before bed and this is how I found them!
Too cute, they did actually end up sleeping like this for the whole night.  They were up at 7am instead of the normal 8am, but not a bad effort for a squishy nights sleep!

Dress ups

I know Harry looks like he is being held to ransom, however this is actually his BIG smile! Holly and Harry had so much fun the other day pulling everything out of Hollys waredrobe and dressing up - Harry is wearing a dress, leggings, pink converse, a flower scarf and Hollys coat ... and the firemans hat to top it off!

SOOOO cute - I could just eat these two up!

iPhone photos

Daddy has had our camera this week, so we had to rely on the phone - terrible photos, but gorgeous moments!

Off to another fairy/princess party!

A sleepover at the Coopers

We have the most amazing Aunty and Uncle - Aunty Gabe and Uncle Karl let us have a sleepover last night to give Mamma and Daddy a break and sleep in - storing up the sleep for when our little brother or sister arrives!
 Dinner for 6 anyone?
As always their favourite activity anywhere they go is dress ups!
I love that my kids love to dress up.

Another milestone!

Holly has mastered shoelaces!!!

Lunch at Aunty Gabes house

We had a lovely lunch at Aunty Gabe's on Sunday, Harry progressively added a piece of clothing to his outfit during the day - and this is how he ended up!!!

LOVE!

These two play so well together now and have so much fun, we can't see what #3 brings to the mix!

32 weeks

32 weeks and counting - hopefully only 5 weeks to go (fingers crossed I will be induced at 37 weeks!)

Some school holiday snaps

Week one of the school holidays, before we all got sick, we went to the movies to see the Lion King (still one of my favourites) and then had a go on the big trampolines - the kids not Mamma!
Harry loved it, however I couldn't get a proper photo of him in the air -  he kept squealing "HIGHER" to the man!!
and afterwards he crashed on my bed when he went to get his teddy!

Holly and I picked Bella up from the groomers the other day - Holly thought it was hilarious that Bella sat in Harry's seat the whole way home!

A sleepover at the Staffords

Last week in the school holidays, Holly spend 24 hours at the Staffords.  They had such a good time and Holly has asked every day if she can go back for another one! Its very  boring at home these days with a Mamma who can barely move .... Thanks Aunty Katie xx

Footy Day at Kinder

A day at Puffing Billy with Daddy

a couple of weekends ago, Daddy took us to Puffing Billy! It was so much fun, we rode the train all the way up the mountain - We have the worlds best Daddy xx

An embarrassing trip to Ikea ...

Last Sunday we went to Ikea, I had a list of things I wanted to get, and well, with #3 not too far away, there was no putting it off.  When we got there I borrowed one of their wheelchairs, I struggled walking to the entrance and there was no way my back was going to take me through the windy gridlock of a new Ikea store! After we managed to maneuver our way around the store with Harry on my lap, Holly pushing, then Daddy pushing, Holly on my lap, Harry standing on the foot stool we finally made it to the register.  I desperately had to go to the loo and there were no disabled toilets, so I went into the normal ones. It was miraculous! I stood up out of my chair and walked to the loo, however when I came out there was a line of bloody people, and in front of them I had to hope back in my wheelchair and wheel myself out - so freaking embarrassing!!! I was so tempted to jump out and say - it's a miracle, I can walk!!! Ha ha.

Then Harry pushed me all the way back through the car park to our car.  Just so you know the new Ikea car park has no sidewalk or pedestrian access? So with the traffic Harry pushed me all the way back. Andrew had the trolley, Holly stood on the trolley and Harry was determined to push me the whole way, you should have seen the looks we got, the beeps and a lot of double takes!!!
I am SO over this pregnancy ... luckily only 5.5 weeks to go!! Fingers crossed it goes faster than the past 6 months!
