At school there is a tree in the playground, and if you are very lucky you can find a caterpillar on it. On wednesday Holly found one with the help of some older friends. She hid it in her tray at school, held it in her hand at assemble and finally raced out the doors at 3.30 to show me what she had found! Her teacher had no idea she had been hoarding it half the day, only her two besties!
She named her Rosetta, We made her a little house out of an old shoe box, cut a whole at the top and put cellophane over it as a viewing window. Holly was so excited and had it on her shirt or in her hand all night before bed. She woke Andrew up at the crack of dawn to show him (didn't go down too well!) and fed her leaves all morning.
Then the unthinkable happened, Harry was playing with the box, looking at her And accidentally knocked it over and poor little Rosetta the caterpillar fell through the crack in the deck!
Harry was so upset ( and scared!) he asked me to hold his hand while he told his big sister the tragic news.
Let's just say, there were LOTS of tears. Lest we forget .... The soldiers .... And Rosetta xx

Happy Birthday Gussy!

Another jam packed Sunday today. After cutting down some trees, Andrew took Harry and Lucy to one of Harry's friends party's, a pirate party, then I dropped Holly off at a school friends party, while I raced off and did the grocery shopping. We then all reunited to celebrate Gus turning 4. Lots of cousin fun again ... After hanging out for most of yesterday aswell!

Lazy Sunday

Build a bear day finally arrived

Holly gave one of her best friends a build a bear voucher for her birthday in February. The deal was I would take her to do it in the holidays. So holly (and Harry) had a star chart, they each needed 30 stamps to go make their own build-a-bear. They had to;
Be kind
Treat others how they would like to be treated
Think of other peoples feelings
Unpack schools bags
Get dressed
Brush hair and teeth.

It was a long list and it did all make a difference.
So today I took Holly and Ivrea to Doncaster and they finally created their own bears!!
The best day ever they proclaimed, and named themselves / twins from another mother!!!!!

A day at the Museum with the Coopers

Phillip Island

Last Thursday after our official Ray White office opening, the kids and I jumped in the car and followed their cousins in convoy to Phillip island for 3 nights. The kids were in cousin heaven , they climbed trees, played old school outdoor games, played on the beach, went to the chocolate factory, Churchill island and Amazing things maze house, but the highlight was the night Aunty Gabe and Uncle Tim took 9 of the 10 cousins nick-knocking! They haven't stopped talking about that since! The story goes (according to Holly) Chilli was the bravest, knocking on doors when he could see people, They hid in bushes, Uncle Tim fell over while trying to get away (nothing at all to do with the 2 buckets of shots he bought and "made" us drink!) and Aunty Gabe ended up doubled over laughing at Uncle Tim and wet her pants!!! Who needs holiday attractions with a family like ours! Thanks for an awesome weekend Fockers!!!!
