A quick update ....

It has been very quiet here at ourfamilyfreeman. After a whole pregnancy of pain and bed rest, I made the call to fix the problem. On Wednesday I was admitted to Cabrini hospital and a very nervous Mama underwent a microdicectomy. John McMahon the surgeon removed a big chunk of disk from my spine -L5, S1. I am still in hospital and recovering well. Andrew - aka superdaddy- is home with Lucy and Holly and Harry are hanging out with Grandma and the Staffords. Andrew will have them all back under one roof tonight and I will be home tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed that this relieves some if my pain! I have a 4 week recovery of no sitting and no lifting - including Lucy! Luckily superdaddy has 4 weeks off work.
2012 is going to be a great year!!!!!

Lucy at 4 weeks

Lucy is 4 weeks old this week! How time flies. She is just beautiful and fitting in perfectly. there are still lots of arguments over who gets to hold her - the novelty is definitely not wearing off! She is such an easy baby, she barely cries and feeds like clockwork every 4 hours.  We love you Luce xx

Sunbaking outside last week while Holly and Harry played on the slip and slide
How lucky Lucy is to have such a doting big sister.

Harry 2 and a half

Bring on Summer!!!

We had a couple of hot days last week, so I finally decided to break out the slip and slide!  This was one of my favourite things to do as a kid ... and judging from the fun Holly and Harry had, I think it might now be one of theirs too!

Putting up the Xmas tree ... on the 1st of Dec!

We put up the christmas tree a couple of weeks ago. Both the kids took turns putting the star on top!

On top of this Daddy has also gone a bit crazy with the lights and has decorated the front of the house! We have lots of twinkle lights, Merry Christmas signs, and even a big inflatable santa!
Our neighbours won this year, but Daddy swears that it will be twice as bright next year!

Merry Christmas!

This is the first year that we have had a Santa photo where no one is afraid of Santa! It is also the first year the kids have sat on his la. For the past 4 years Santa has hidden behind the chair while the kids sat on the chair, and popped his head out that the last minute for the photo!
Harry's was insistent that he wore his Roar outfit (as he likes to call it!) and wouldn't take no for an answer, I kind of like it though, because this is an absolute snapshot of him at this age - always in costume!

Santa also had a sense of humour this year and asked if he could use  Lucy in his sleeping baby pose!!! Very cute!

Lucy Loo

Miss Lucy is fitting in just nicely, she sleeps in a crib which is mostly sitting by a window.  She doesn't at all seem fazed by the noise, no matter how loud it is.  Holly and Harry run screaming around the house and we are lucky to see her flinch!

Our little boy suddenly looks all grown up ... Im sure it has something to do with his new hair do too!

A doting big sister. Isn't this just wants every almost 5 year old girl dreams of? A real life baby doll!!! Holly is just besotted by her and will hold her in her arms as long she can.

Introducing Lucy Emma Freeman!

 Lucy Emma Freeman!
7 pounds. 48cm long.
15th November 2011
12.43pm

After a long awaited arrival, little Lucy arrived safe and sound last Tuesday afternoon.
Although a long process of being induced, she raced into the world at a record speed of 2 hours 30 minutes!  She is just beautiful and is absolutely adored by Holly and Harry.
Andrew and I are just besotted with our newest addition and cannot believe how small she is??? You really do forget!  After being told she would be close to 9 pounds born early, we were very surprised to see a dainty little girl! Lucy is  gorgeous and we are all battling to get the first cuddles when she wakes up (luckily I have what she wants!!!)
Luce came home on Friday night however she was readmitted on Sunday afternoon after we took her back to get weighed, and they saw she was quite jaundice.  Her blood was taken and 2 hours later she was admitted.  3 days under the blue lights (and a very teary Mamma who had to part with her new bundle) and she was back to healthy.  We now have her home and we are not letting go of her!
We are completely, totally and utterly in love with you Lucy xx

More photos to follow when Mamma clears the memory card on the real  camera!

Around the house

I'm not sure who need a sister more or brother more?? Holly is going through a phase of dressing poor Harry up in all her clothes, being a boy who LOVES to dress up (in anything) he is quite happy to oblige!
They both had dolls and teddy's under their clothes pretending to be pregnant! I'm sure Harry will have a good laugh at these pictures one day!!!

Our first born, still going strong ... although doesn't get half the amount of attention that she use to :(

36 weeks ... and counting!

Currently 36 weeks, life is pretty subdued at the moment, ourfamilyfreeman has become a very quite household and the social calandar was thrown out with the hard rubbish months ago!
Mamma Freeman is bed ridden at the moment (I wouldn't wish pelvic instability, bulging disk pain or sciatica on ANY one let alone a pregnant woman!) , but the end is near and if all goes well, we will hopefully have some exciting news to report sometime next week ..... stay tuned!
