On Thursday we headed up to Moama for our annual Australia Day weekend away. We were all very excited, we packed up the car (with an obsene amount of luggage) and headed up the Hume. We stopped in Tatura at Aunty Nickees to feed Harry Pie, just as we were leaving, Mamma noticed my face was a bit red...... anyway I will let Mamma fill you in on the rest .......
By the time we got to Moama an hour later, Hollys face was mildly swollen, we weren't sure what from but all the chemists were closed. Just to double check, I called Nurse on Call, they didn't seem to concerned. An hour and a half later, we were unpacked and getting ready to put Holly to bed, the swelling was slowly getting worse, but still mild. I decided to sleep in the bed with her to keep an eye on her. I woke up at 1am and totally freaked out, her whole face was completly swollen, I grabbed her out of bed and we headed to Echuca Hospital. They didn't seem too concerned as it wasn't affecting her airways, she was given a antihistimane and monitered for 4 hours. Although she looks terrible in the photos, she was completly fine. She was laughing and chatting to the nurses and we were singing and taking photos with my phone. We both ended up falling asleep on the hospital bed in the emergency room for an hour before being told we could leave. We all went to sleep and Andrew was at the chemist at the crack of dawn to get some medication. He woke her up at 9am to give it to her, I took one look at her when she woke and burst into tears, the swelling had got worse! The poor chicken, her eyes were so swollen she couldn't see proply and was tripping over thing on the floor. So Andrew & her headed straight back to the emergency room. A long story short, she had an allergic reaction to "something"? we think maybe suncream, and it wasn't threatening in any way. It is now Monday night and the swelling is almost gone, but she has been left with very red dry skin, which may take a few more days to heal .... needless to say I will be straight off to have her allergy tested!
You are a trouper though and you took it all in your stride, not complaining once.
We love you xx

My birthday is not until tomorrow, but today I had my party at Chesterfield Farm. Chesterfield Farm is a gorgeous little farm (on about 50 acres) 10 minutes from our place. It is awesome. We had a wonderful day and I was totally spoilt (as i should have been). We played pass the parcel, sang Happy Birthday, ate cake, had a terrifying tractor ride, that turned to mayhem (and resembled the boat scene from willy wonka!) when it started bucketing down! I played with bunnies, goats, lambs and chickens ... I had the best birthday party ever with all my gorgeous family and friends xx
cutting the cake, and I had to kiss the closest boy ... lucky Oz was close by!
Mamma gave me the womans weekly cake book last week and let me pick the cake I wanted for my party. After totally freaking Mamma out with my selections, she said I could pick 3 and she would have the final say (seriously some of those cakes need an engineer on site to assemble!) we both settled on a rainbow. Not too bad!

As Holly would say ... "are you my treasure? The answer is YES!!!"

Today we caught the train (with Harry and Ginger) to Cantebury and shopped and had lunch on Mailing road, it was a really cool morning.
*Kindy is still out as is swimming - that constitutes as summer holidays for us!
Oscars excitement about the train even started to wear off on me!(and yes, they were holding hands before the camera came out - without our instruction!)
