Lockdown day 51

Harry made an apple pie while I was working and wrote an instructional writing piece on how to cook an apple pie.  Holly found some old pics of our house and we went for a big walk again. Oh and no Corona for Andrew!!

Lockdown day 50

Holy cooked dinner tonight. Harry and Lucy played nicely all day after finishing school by 12. I rested most of the day with a possible sinus infection.

Lockdown day 49

A good day learning from home! Harry and Luce did some cooking by themselves- jelly and cupcakes. A big bike ride, Lucy and I mastered riding her bike together while walking the dog.

Lockdown day 48

Woke up to a decorated house full of balloons and love! Red carpet and all. The homemade gifts my favorite, jars of love notes, a box of goodies made by holly, Harry made me a body scrub and Lucy a box of breath mints! A close second was the cocktail making set including martini glasses!

Went for a big walk, had a delicious cheese platter lunch and board games! I’m a very happy Mama and feeling loved ... as always .

Oh and Andrew was swabbed for corona! Due to a very mild sore throat. Fingers crossed it’s negative!

Lockdown day 47

A cold and rainy day today. Andrew and the kids went out to the shops for Mother’s Day, I stayed home and cleaned and then spent the the rest of the day reading! Bliss! 

Lockdown day 46

More bins to clean. Today a neighbor left a lovely thank you card and a $6 tip for cleaning their bin yesterday. The kids door knocked the neighbors and have 1 booking so far for next Thursday. Harry and Luce rode bikes for most of the afternoon.

Lockdown day 45

Today a small business was born in isolation. Holly Harry and Lucy’s Bin Cleaning business. Open 2 days a week, bin day and the day after. They door knocked about 15 houses this afternoon and scored 3 jobs. $15 made! They worked pretty hard for the money and scrubbed like mad men making them gleam! Very proud Mama!

Lockdown day 44

No photos today! 

Harry went for another early morning ride with Andrew. He then did about 6 big laps of the block by himself, with us and with Holly. He is loving the freedom of riding around the neighborhood. 

Lucy and I ducked down to Kmart to get her some ugg boots. We made bread and had a yummy feast for lunch.Harry finished his work by 10.30!!!!!!!! Absolute record!!!

Lucy made this for herself for breakfast this morning, waffles, yogurt, honey and banana, the things you can make with no morning rush. 

Today Harry resisted homeschooling - not fun. He can be beyond stubborn sometimes. 

We went for a big walk/ride later this afternoon to “cool” off after a tough day.

Lazy day, Andrew bid on a house on an online auction for day, went to Costco and bought a Dyson ... not at costco. Had a lovely 2 hour zoom with the hills tonight, miss them so much.
