A very clever Holly

Last week Holly did an intensive swimming program at her swim school.  She did it last term too and absolutely loved it.  Last week though she was in a class with kids a fair bit older than her, a 6 year old, 8 and I think a 10  year old!  This did not faze this little fish at all.  Holly's teacher James, commented and was amazed at how fearless she is in the pool.  I was so proud of her, she tread water for a minute on her own with no aids (and i think she could have easily gone another minute) jumped in the deep end and swam about 10 metres on her own on her front and back unaided.  She did so well that on Friday James gave her her Pink certificate!!! This means she goes up yet another level.  The girls at the front desk (who see a lot of kids go through) were amazed at how quickly she is progressing and said she is well above her age level for swimming!!! Clever little chicken!!! I couldn't stop telling her how proud i was of her, she was more excited though about the lolly pop she got at the end!!!!! Anyway, that's my brag for the day xx

A long weekend with Nanny and Pa

Last weekend our Nanny and Pa came all the way down (again) to look after us.  Mamma and Daddy had their first little holiday alone in 4 and a half years.  It marked their 5th wedding anniversary!
They went to Daylesford for 3 night and had so much fun, but they said they were very glad to be home to see us.
Nanny and Pa took us up to the Dandenongs for the morning.
Thanks for looking after us!!!!!! We miss you already xx

Around the house

Just like Mamma with a baby in her tummy!
 Smoothie Mos

Some very sour orange juice that we made with Pa from the oranges from our tree.
Ballerina Harry - this one will save for his 18th!
and maybe this one for his 21st!!!

iPhone snaps ...

This is Percy Baby, Tink Baby or Batman Baby - or Baby #3! Holly has suggested many names!
This is our 20 week scan last week ... 21 weeks tomorrow! 19 to go ... and yes I am already counting down.  This is proving to be my worst pregnancy!
I totally forgot that Holly needed a library bag this week.  As I can't walk around the shops we pulled out the machine and some old scrap material and whipped this up.

Homebound

With Mammas bad back, we have all been house bound lately.  We have started baking and cooking as Mamma can sit at the bench and help us.  Yesterday we made cornflake honey cups  ... all by ourselves!

 The finished product ... YUM!
Then Mamma made a roast beetroot dip for lunch ... Harry devoured a whole bowl of it with a variety of veges. (a much easier way to eat veges and colourful food than leaving it until dinner!)
Daddy joined Mamma in bed the other day to keep her company, so I pulled up a chair and read them stories and made up some wild stories of my own!

Superstar Nanny!!!

A Big Thank you to our Nanny who flew down to Melbourne to look after us while Mamma rested.  We know we completely wore you out and tested your Nanny capabilities, but we really appreciate it.  We hope you rest up before you come back in 2 weeks!  Love Holly and Harry xx

A first "big hurt"

Harry had a fall at Kindy this morning. Poor little boy ended up with a massive egg on his head.  It looks worse than it is, he was fine and running around again ten minutes later.
He was actually quite proud of his wound, he ran straight up to me saying "look look" holding his hair back with a big smile on his face???  Poor little man xx

Princess Holly

Since I have hurt my back, I have been trying to lay down for a few hours each day. Thanks to a team of Grandparents, Nannies and babysitters, the kids have been well occupied! Holly and Briony made this princess crown today!
And this morning, Holly decided to take matters into her own hands and "fix" me herself!

Another party to celebrate Two!

We  had another little party on Tuesday - a handful of Harry's friends came over for cake and a game.

Harry is so funny, he loves to blow out the candles, however he hasn't worked out how to blow straight, instead he blows up - to his hair!
Thanks for making the cake Grandma!
We had a not so successful game of pass the parcel (unlike the one on the weekend?)  This was pretty much the theme of the game, no one wanted to let go of the parcel!
It was pretty much the theme of the game! This is Harry's friend Lucas.
Harry and I made Hummus yesterday - and then he devoured the majority of it with a bowl of carrots and a spoon!

A beautiful two

Our little Harry is now Two! Where has the time gone!! He is such a beautiful little child in every way possible.  Just so we don't forget, here is what he is up too;
  • Harry loves to snuggle, he is always full of kisses and cuddles for everyone. If he kisses one person in a group, he will usually equal it up, by going around and giving everyone a kiss so they don't feel left out.
  • He is very soft natured, although a boy, through and through, he is very gentle by nature.
  • He is an amazing communicator - his range of words is not massive but he can completely let anyone know what he wants or needs and can follow just about any instructions,
  • He has a great memory.
  • He just about always uses manners saying Ta or thank you when you give him something
  • He is full of charisma - just like his Daddy, Harry is one of those kids that people just gravitate towards
  • He is generally always happy, always smiling.
  • He still loves to play pretend cooking and dress ups, much more than cars typical "boy" things.
  • He loves to join in with what ever Holly is doing
  • He is so easy going and quite content to play on his own and wander around, never getting worried if your not in sight.
  • He love love loves his books and we read at least 5 a day
  • He loves to sit in the kitchen with us and help us cook.
  • He will eat most things still, but has a sweet tooth
  • He has all his teeth bar his molars.
  • He loves to play outside and at the park
  • He loves animals, we often go to chesterfield farm and he will sit and play with the bunnies for ages
  • Harry's favourite thing is when I take him to the train station and we wait for a train to come! He love the anticipation of the trains coming then the bells going and then waving at the train as it goes by.
  • Harry is just a gorgeous child, and from what I can imagine, just like Andrew when he was little - liked by all and very affectionate - he is independent and easy going and everything you could ask for in a son. He is a beautiful Two.

Harry's turns 2!

Opening his presents on Sunday morning.
Harry was very lucky to have Nanny and Pa here and GG, to help celebrate his special day.
Thank  you to everyone for all his gorgeous presents xx

A game of pass the parcel when all the cousins arrived - yes these are JUST cousins!!

Harry took charge and cute the cake himself - he did a great job too!
Last week, I got out the trusty womans weekly kids cake books and Harry and I had a flick through them.  As soon as he got the the page witht he Teddy Bear on it, his eyes lit up, he was so excited he yelled "TEDDY"!!! So a teddy cake it was.  Daddy whipped up this gorgeous teddy cake for his family party.
