Lucy funny

The other day Lucy and Harry were playing outside making a cubby (because it was the first glimpse of a summers day in what feels like forever!) Holly and I were watching Skin wars, because she STILL has laryngitis. Lucy came screaming inside with a squeal and a face like she had dug up gold in the backyard and showed us a 4 leaf clover she found!
In a moment of what felt like parenting genius I made a huge fuss telling her she was destined to have good luck for the rest of her life! She would always be lucky. She was beside herself and put it in a safe place on my chest of drawers and raced out to tell Harry how lucky her life was now!
Fast forward a few hours and tired cranky alter ego Lucy was starting to emerge,  it was late and we asked her to go to bed. Dinner, shower and teeth were done and it was past bed time. Well she cracked it for no reason. Which is unlike her, she usually goes to bed with minimal fuss. She lost the plot and declared we were the worst parents in the world and hated her and didn’t like her as much as the others. This in turn made us laugh and the more she carried on the more we lost it laughing!
She eventually headed off to bed, while walking down she was red in the face practically fuming saying “that 4 leaf clover WAS NOT LUCKY! I HAD NO LUCK, IT WAS AN UNLUCKY CLOVER AND IT WAS BROKEN!
With that she headed back yo my room then went to bed.
I later realized she put the 4 leaf clover in my burning candle before she went to bed!!!!

Girls day

Holly was bitterly disappointed that she missed our annual snow day. Poor baby girl still has laryngitis and no voice. It’s been 11 days now, she is feeling much better but can’t talk more than a whisper.
We decided that it was our choice to choose to be happy and turn our day around and have fun. And that we did, we put some loud music on, got ready and headed to Eastland. We shopped, went to our favorite coffee shop for hot chocolate, and even got a haircut! A fun day and a lovely day with my girl x

Lake mountain

Fun day at lake mountain, the girls first time seeing snow! Holly still has laryngitis so her and I had s girls day and met up for dinner with everyone at Giant Steps Healsville.
