Corona virus

So today 16th March 2020, COVID-19 is now a pandemic. Victoria has announced a state of emergency and we are locking down boarders.
Supermarkets are stripped of essentials within minutes of opening each day. All the kids sports have been cancelled. Travel plans all cancelled and any gatherings of 500 or more unable to happen. The new word is “social distancing” no hand shakes or kisses to greet. We are in uncharted waters and it’s all seems a little surreal. A week ago it seemed like a bit of media hype, today schools have gone into full preparation for school closures and online learning for the foreseeable future. By the end of the week all schools could be closed.
We have stocked the fridge, freezer and pantry of essential items.
Up until a few days ago it all seemed a bit silly ... now it seems a bit scary and not knowing what the next few months looks like is a little daunting. Fingers crossed that all these extreme measures pay off and the situation doesn’t escalate to what we have seen in China, Italy, Spain and Iran.
Stay safe everyone xx
