Lucy Loo

Miss Lucy is fitting in just nicely, she sleeps in a crib which is mostly sitting by a window.  She doesn't at all seem fazed by the noise, no matter how loud it is.  Holly and Harry run screaming around the house and we are lucky to see her flinch!

Our little boy suddenly looks all grown up ... Im sure it has something to do with his new hair do too!

A doting big sister. Isn't this just wants every almost 5 year old girl dreams of? A real life baby doll!!! Holly is just besotted by her and will hold her in her arms as long she can.

Introducing Lucy Emma Freeman!

 Lucy Emma Freeman!
7 pounds. 48cm long.
15th November 2011
12.43pm

After a long awaited arrival, little Lucy arrived safe and sound last Tuesday afternoon.
Although a long process of being induced, she raced into the world at a record speed of 2 hours 30 minutes!  She is just beautiful and is absolutely adored by Holly and Harry.
Andrew and I are just besotted with our newest addition and cannot believe how small she is??? You really do forget!  After being told she would be close to 9 pounds born early, we were very surprised to see a dainty little girl! Lucy is  gorgeous and we are all battling to get the first cuddles when she wakes up (luckily I have what she wants!!!)
Luce came home on Friday night however she was readmitted on Sunday afternoon after we took her back to get weighed, and they saw she was quite jaundice.  Her blood was taken and 2 hours later she was admitted.  3 days under the blue lights (and a very teary Mamma who had to part with her new bundle) and she was back to healthy.  We now have her home and we are not letting go of her!
We are completely, totally and utterly in love with you Lucy xx

More photos to follow when Mamma clears the memory card on the real  camera!

Hanging out with Chill and Ivy Doll

Chill and Ivy came over yesterday to play for the day, we raided the hall cupboard which is home to all our swimming gear ... Yes, Harry is wearing Hollys swimmers! A bit of a trend this month!

Around the house

I'm not sure who need a sister more or brother more?? Holly is going through a phase of dressing poor Harry up in all her clothes, being a boy who LOVES to dress up (in anything) he is quite happy to oblige!
They both had dolls and teddy's under their clothes pretending to be pregnant! I'm sure Harry will have a good laugh at these pictures one day!!!

Our first born, still going strong ... although doesn't get half the amount of attention that she use to :(

36 weeks ... and counting!

Currently 36 weeks, life is pretty subdued at the moment, ourfamilyfreeman has become a very quite household and the social calandar was thrown out with the hard rubbish months ago!
Mamma Freeman is bed ridden at the moment (I wouldn't wish pelvic instability, bulging disk pain or sciatica on ANY one let alone a pregnant woman!) , but the end is near and if all goes well, we will hopefully have some exciting news to report sometime next week ..... stay tuned!

Daddy experiments with Brylcreem on Harrys mop of hair!

Halloween!

Not a holiday that we have ever celebrated before (apart from giving random kids lollies that knock on the door). This year the kids in our court decided that they would trick or treat, they are all around the same age, which is gorgeous, and they all know each other, so at 6.30pm they dressed up and knocked on each door in the court.  Brendan, our trusty babysitter walked around with them which was very cute, he looked like the pied piper!

34 Weeks

34 weeks and counting ... not too long to go now.

My gorgeous girl

Wrong? You decide.

Yesterday Liz took Holly and Harry to the library for story time. Holly took out a dozen or so books and proudly  bought them home to show me.  Last night after our girls night (Andrew's away and Harry had a sleepover with Grandma) we curled up in bed and started to read the new pile of books.  The first one we read was lovely, the second one however was a little different.  We have a few baby books floating around our house - nice books that explain that Mummy is having a baby and the excitement that goes with it.  This particular book was called "Our Baby".  It started off quite innocent, a few pages it explains the mother is having a home birth (also quite fine), but then half way through, I turn the page and this is what we are looking at ........

I was not expecting to see this - I don't really have a problem with it, Holly is quite geared up with information on where baby's come from and how they arrive into the world, but when you are not expecting these images .... well my reaction was to laugh my arse off ... it seriously caught me by surprise ... yes I know, very immature response!  Then this .....
and then we finish off with a nice explanation of how the Mummy deliverers the placenta and the other siblings all crowd around it to have a look ....
I'm sure it is perfectly acceptable - I certainly know my cousin - who has had a home birth and her other kids watched - and is studying like a madwoman to become a midwife - would think this is great ....
Me ? .... the Jury is still out.
Although I still laugh when I see the pictures!
