The Party

Happy 1st Birthday Lucy!

A big Happy Birthday to our sweet baby girl. 365 days have flown by. You are just perfectly delightful and as I have said many times, you complete our family. We all love you to the moon and back you are a beautiful little person. Here is what you are up to...
•You have 6 teeth, two down the bottom and 4 up top
•You crawl round the house like a machine
•You pull yourself up onto everything
•You aren't walking yet but not too far off
•You say, mama, dadda, ta, uh oh, moo
•You are super inquisitive - you always have a curious look on your face and look like your trying to figure out how everything works
•You love being chased around the floor or our bed!
•You love being around Holly and Harry
•You love food especially blueberries and corn on the cob
•You had your first flight (business class!) to the gold coast for uncle Pete and Aunty Ricci's wedding
•You sleep generally 12-13 hours s night, unless your getting teeth and then you wake all night long!
•You are still drinking milk (cows) from a bottle, but getting much better with a cup
•Your smiles light up a room, especially that first smile every morning when I come into your room
•We read to you every day, you are much more wriggly than your siblings but love your stories
•peek-a-boo is still your favourite game
•You throw your arms in the air for Hooray!
•You just love love love Bella (even tho it isn't generally reciprocated)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS PIE !

I have been meaning to document this moment for a week. Not so much for the memory of it, but more so, so I can remember to bring it up on their 21st's.

Last Sunday we had a very lazy day. We all stayed in our Jammies most of the day until we went to Billy and 'Nets' for an early dinner.
Just before we left Harry was on our toilet and he called out as there was no toilet paper left, I got in there and cleaned him up and sent him out. 5 minutes later I realized Lucy wasn't in sight, I went to our bedroom and found her in the ensuite chewing on an empty toilet roll. I scooped her up and transferred her to the playroom. A few minutes later I could smell poo? I couldn't quite figure out where it was coming from. I started with Lucy, thinking she needed changing. She stank of poo, but not her nappy? I then realized she had been crawling in the bathroom!!! I scrubbed her clean, revolted by the fact she somehow had poo on her.
After she was all changed and clean, I was still baffled as to how she smelt like poo? I then walked back to our ensuite picked up that empty toilet roll only to find it covered in chunks of POO!!!! Putting 2 and 2 together, I quickly realized My darling Harry had resourcefully wiped his Bum with the toilet roll before calling me.

I swear I did not sign up for this shit when I had kids ... Literally!

Lulu 9.5 months

Missy moo is well and truly on the move, she started crawling last Monday and by Friday she was doing laps around the house!!!

With Holly at school and Harry at kindy I got to spend the whole day with Lucy. Lucy you are such a beautiful little girl. This whole week nothing has been a problem for you just give me your beautiful smile and go with the flow. I love you darling.

Swimming

Silly Dad got the times mixed up for our swimming lessons so we got there too late to swim. Anyway we were all dressed and ready so we thought we would take Lucy for her first swimming lesson. Lucy was a bit unsure at first but it didn't take before she was splashing and laughing. She was very relaxed lying on her back with her head on Dads shoulder.

They want Lucy to wear a yellow wrist band to let the lifeguards know she is younger the 5yrs, funny I thought that the fact she is a baby might have given it away.

Harry was very brave swimming and jumping into the deep end.

Holly was a little fish swimming to the bottom of pool and touching it.

I think Lucy used too much energy as she fell asleep in seconds!

Sunday Fun Day

Today we start Sunday Fun Day with some break bowl painting, can't wait to get them back next. After a little Lucy snooze we headed over to our cousins for some full on fun, sorry about the mess Uyenie! After some dinner it was time to head home and fall asleep in the car, dad love it when we fall asleep it makes bed time much quicker.

Happy Glaze Cafe

Today we thought we head down to Happy Glaze and paint some new breakfast bowls. Just waiting for the plain bowls to arrive.

9 months old!

Our darling Lulu hit 9 months old yesterday. It's incredible how much can happen in a month! Luce is confidently sitting alone, both on the floor and in the bath. She is up on all 4's and rocking her way to the land of mobility! She is so close. She can take a few crawls backwards - she is under strict instruction NOT to crawl while I am away!!! She can move at lightening speed in her walker and easily maneuver it to where she wants to go.
Holly still loves to hold her and Harry whispers sweet nothing's at her when no one is watching.
She can clap now and on cue and is mighty proud if herself when she does it! She can wave and is saying Dada ( but not always on cue). She most defiantly knows who is who and if we say "where is holly" she will look at her and grin her big beautiful smile.
We love you Lucy you are a sweet little princess. Xx

Lucy is sitting now by herself, and getting much better by the day

8 months old!

Lucy Lu was 8 Months old on Sunday.

She is such a little doll and SO interactive with us now.

She has started giving me random kisses.

She rolls all around the house, if I put her down, you almost need to send a search party to look for her 2 minutes later!

She is finally loving her food and will prefer food a lot of the time to a bottle.

Her favourite at the moment is puree sweet potato mixed with my bolognese sauce!

She is just about sitting by herself, she will sit for a while but eventually (gracefully) falls to one side.

She is trying her very hardest to get up on to all fours in the crawling position - she hasn't actually done it yet, but its oh so close!

She just adores attention from Holly and Harry.

She will purposely try and get Holly's attention if she is not looking at her.

She is very aware if I leave the room or someone else is holding her, and not always too keen on my leaving.

She still sleeps well - as long as she is well, poor little baby girl has had croup again, plus a mild chest infection and a runny nose.

She has 2 teeth at the bottom. The first appeared right on 7 months and the next 2 weeks later.

She still has at least 2 sleeps a day.

She is just beautiful and gorgeous and I could kiss her all day long (if only there were more hours in the day!)

 Harry doesn't ask that often to hold Lucy, he is much happier just lying next to her and talking and showing her things. Last week he asked if he could read her a book, so they sat together while he read to her ... it was very cute!

And she woke up 20 mins later like nothing had happened and kept chewing on the rusk!

7 months

 Lucy was 7 months old last week. 

She is becoming so much more interactive now. She rolls around on the floor. I know she goes both ways, however I rarely catch her going tummy to back!  She flips in bed and will happily sleep on her tummy now. I'm touching wood whilst writing this, but she is sleeping 13 hours straight a night ... fingers crossed it stays that way. She doesn't sleep as much during the day - 2 sleeps of 1-2 hours each.

She is starting to get better at eating, although she still isn't overly keen.

She is big and beautiful and  has one gorgeous tooth that popped up the day before she turned 7 months! Very cute. 

Just a doll and a very easy going bubba.
