Tourists in our own city!
Life has been hectic here at ourfamilyfreeman. With Andrew starting a new job, Christmas now only days away and Christmas presents being built in all the spare time (more to follow on that), we haven't had much family fun time at all. So last Sunday after being couped up inside for the day due to rain and power tools on the deck, we headed into the city to see this years Myer windows. They were gorgeous as usual, this years theme, The Nutcracker, which was great as Holly and I have been reading the story every other night! After seeing the windows in a record time of, oh about 6 minutes flat - it was 5pm and Holly declared - So when are we going to do something fun? We felt so bad that she was still waiting for the fun to begin, Andrew (gorgeous and quick thinking!) Ran to the corner and within minutes the 4 of us were on a horse and carriage ride around the city!! It was great, we felt like such tourists, but it was really fun! Harry LOVED the horses and Holly waved to everyone on the pavement. So faith was restored in Family Sunday Funday and we finished with an early dinner at the Supper Inn - one of our favourite restaurants in little Bourke st.

Holly and Harry were "knighted" by Loz and Shane on Saturday at Lozzys Uni graduation bbq. They did feel very special being knighted with a rolling pin!

My darling boy, who takes after his big sister and LOVES to dress up!
Harry went very quite the other day - and anyone who has ever had a toddler knows that silence is not always good. However, I went looking for him and found him like this. Under his cot, with a stack of books reading! He stayed like this for about 20 minutes! SO cute. I just love that Harry loves books as much as his big sis did.

An afternoon at the park
Today seemed like one of those looong days. Don't get me wrong, it was a good day, however when you are asked for what seems like the 100th time "when is Daddy coming home?" its long! Andrew was in Sydney for one night (yes only one night) but to Holly it somehow felt like a week?! She woke up asking when he would be home and didn't stop until he walked in the door at 6pm! So at 3pm, I bundled my treasures into the bike trailer, put the dog on the lead and spent the afternoon at the park.

Poor little sickie
Poor little Harry. He hasn't been himself for a few days. He might have gastro, but we are not sure, so we are back off to the docs today. He has vomited once each morning for the past 4 days, then sleeps for 3-4 hours and is fine? Andrew thinks he might be pregnant!!! Fingers crossed he starts to recover. xx

My little Mermaid ...
Last weekend Holly had her first, big girls, birthday party. Alana across the road turned 6. Holly and Alana have started to become quite good friends regardless of the age difference. She was nice enough to invite Holly to her Mermaid party. Well, Alanas lovely mum is top notch sewer, so the pressure was on to create a half decent mermaid costume! This was the outcome! She looked so darn cute! we had her hair in about 20+ plaits the night before. She really did Aeriel proud!!! She had an absolute ball at the party and the other mums were all commenting on how social she was for a 3 year old.
