Today seemed like one of those looong days. Don't get me wrong, it was a good day, however when you are asked for what seems like the 100th time "when is Daddy coming home?" its long! Andrew was in Sydney for one night (yes only one night) but to Holly it somehow felt like a week?! She woke up asking when he would be home and didn't stop until he walked in the door at 6pm! So at 3pm, I bundled my treasures into the bike trailer, put the dog on the lead and spent the afternoon at the park.

Poor little sickie
Poor little Harry. He hasn't been himself for a few days. He might have gastro, but we are not sure, so we are back off to the docs today. He has vomited once each morning for the past 4 days, then sleeps for 3-4 hours and is fine? Andrew thinks he might be pregnant!!! Fingers crossed he starts to recover. xx

My little Mermaid ...
Last weekend Holly had her first, big girls, birthday party. Alana across the road turned 6. Holly and Alana have started to become quite good friends regardless of the age difference. She was nice enough to invite Holly to her Mermaid party. Well, Alanas lovely mum is top notch sewer, so the pressure was on to create a half decent mermaid costume! This was the outcome! She looked so darn cute! we had her hair in about 20+ plaits the night before. She really did Aeriel proud!!! She had an absolute ball at the party and the other mums were all commenting on how social she was for a 3 year old.
Harry Pie - 16.5 months
What a gorgeous little fella. He is so much like his Daddy, easy going, happy and very adaptable. I cannot believe he will be 18 months at christmas?? Where has the year gone??

A bucket of fun!
Tonight we ate sinapore noodles on the deck. If you have never seen a 16 month old boy eat sinapore noodles unassisted, just imagine tipping a bowl of them in the washing machine and watching them stick to every piece of clothing! He was a mess! I grabbed a bucket of warm water, and well, the pictures speak for themselves!

Holly and I had a big conversation last week about why some people speak different languages. She was asking about her cousin speaking in Vietnamese and other people speaking other languages. Yesterday she said something to me and I didn't hear her, the conversation then went like this ...
Mum: Pardon Holly?
Holly: (said something again)
Mum: Sorry Holly I didn't catch that again?
Holly: (in a fed up voice) I AM speaking Australian Mum!
Thank you very much!

Chesterfield Farm
This afternoon we wandered down to Chesterfield Farm, for two reasons. One: today is the last day of sunshine for what looks like an eternity, and two: Holly is obsessed with these bunnies!
She must have sat with them for two hours. She picked them up, swapped them, put them down, named them, cuddled them, tried to put them down her top .... she just adores them.
Don't be surprised if one day a post pops up about our new pet... Thumper!
