Around the house

A lazy Sunday morning on the couch - all fast asleep ... well Harrys was - The others were pretending!
This is not a very good photo of Andrew at all, but I had to post it, doesn't Lucy look like him???
I love this photo, I forgot to post it with the Moama ones. They look like little ducks following the mother duck!  Aunty Katie took them up to the adventure park one morning and gave us all a sleep in - best Aussie Day morning sleep in EVER!
Holly was nagging  asking me yesterday afternoon if they could play on the slip and slide. I was in a mad rush trying to get dinner organized and settle Lucy.  I told her that the grass was very long and might not be that good for the slide - with that she said "we will cut it"! "with what?" I asked, "scissors of course silly!" and with that, Holly and Harry sat happily on the grass for about 40 minutes cutting the grass - while I made dinner xx

 My beautiful pre-preppy xx
H & H decided to wear their undies on the outside the other day and play super heros! I seriously don't even know where they get this stuff from? They have never seen a superhero film or cartoon???

HARRY! two and eight months

Our little man at 2 and 8 months, where did the time go??
The most delicious boy in the "whole wide world" (this is Harrys favourite saying at the moment! Everything is the Best or his Favourite "in the whole wide world"
This is a terrible iphone photo (even for an iphone!) but last week Harry took to putting on empty glasses everytime he picked up a book!!!

At St Kilda Fest on Sunday - Chillin watching a band (the Kazoos! - not exactly what Mum and Dad had in mind when they were heading to the festival!)

First day at Billanook - Pre Prep

Our beautiful Holly had her first day at Billanook College on Wednesday.  She has started pre prep there and will be going 3 days a week 8.45 - 3pm.
She was SO excited and had "so much fun!".  She happily waved goodbye and gave both Harry, Lucy and I a kiss and hug and walked off and sat on the mat with the other kids.  When I picked her up, she talked the whole way home (25 minutes!) and seemed like she had grown up by about 3 years!  She made a few friends on the first day and has had a ball every other day.
She was telling me about something really funny that had happened in the sports class and said "it was SOOOO funny Mama, I totally laughed my hips out!!" I think she meant, laugh her head off!  Holly had the funniest way of mixing up sayings at the moment and Andrew and I are constantly laughing at what she comes out with.
Her Teacher is Miss Hollie, and at dinner time on her first day, she asked if she could change her name and spell it like Miss Hollies!  I think she is going to have a great year and be well and truly ready for Prep in 2013!

Alice in Wonderland

 Isn't she gorgeous!
Yesterday we finally had the much anticipated Alice in Wonderland party for Holly's 5th birthday.  I say much anticipated as it has been in the making for quite some time!  About 8 months ago we were reading Alice in Wonderland and I mentioned to Holly that it would be a great theme for a party. She agreed. Not long after I was bailed up in bed with pregnancy woes.  For the next 6 month, from the comfort of my bed, I did a lot of googling and planned this party.  I swear it was the one thing that kept me occupied and got me through half the pregnancy!  Any way, the day finally came, and it really was a great party.  We ended up hiring "Alice" to come and entertain the kids, this was not party of the original plan, but with my back, it made sense to off load the entertainment! Man was she a hit! The kids loved her and she had them eating out of the palm of her hand, 31 little people, that obeyed with enthusiasm, her every word!  They played pass the parcel, wonderland limbo, had their faces pained and lots more.  They finished off with a morning tea of coloured sandwiches and tea (juice from tea pots!).  The party was a huge success and more importantly Holly had a ball!  The pictures below speak for themselves xx
