Rollarama!

Today Holly and I met a bunch of Holly's school friends at the Caribbean Rollarama!
After choosing the right sized skates (Holly was disappointed that they were not pink!) and the laces were finally laced, we all braved the first lap, it was tedious and the word slow is an understatement!  I was starting to think that this would be the longest hour and a half of my life!
But after 2 or 3 laps ... my gosh, they were off! No help needed, off on their own, still slow, but alone and not even holding on to the wall!
I was so proud of the girls, they did a great job and picked it up so quickly!
We might just all have little future rollerskating champions on our hands!!!
 Holly and Tenisha

So brave! Out in the middle all alone!

8 months old!

Lucy Lu was 8 Months old on Sunday.
She is such a little doll and SO interactive with us now.
She has started giving me random kisses.
She rolls all around the house, if I put her down, you almost need to send a search party to look for her 2 minutes later!
She is finally loving her food and will prefer food a lot of the time to a bottle.
Her favourite at the moment is puree sweet potato mixed with my bolognese sauce!
She is just about sitting by herself, she will sit for a while but eventually (gracefully) falls to one side.
She is trying her very hardest to get up on to all fours in the crawling position - she hasn't actually done it yet, but its oh so close!
She just adores attention from Holly and Harry.
She will purposely try and get Holly's attention if she is not looking at her.
She is very aware if I leave the room or someone else is holding her, and not always too keen on my leaving.
She still sleeps well - as long as she is well, poor little baby girl has had croup again, plus a mild chest infection and a runny nose.
She has 2 teeth at the bottom. The first appeared right on 7 months and the next 2 weeks later.
She still has at least 2 sleeps a day.
She is just beautiful and gorgeous and I could kiss her all day long (if only there were more hours in the day!)

Trying for a sibling photo ...

Finding these three, still, in the same place, is pretty rare! I raced for the camera, but this is as good as it got!

Holly's favourite thing to do is to carry her baby sister around. It must make her feel so grown up, she does a great job at it and is just beautiful with Luce.

A day at the Zoo

We spent a nice long day at the zoo a couple of weeks ago. It was a good day, however we went on a Sunday during school holidays so it was jam packed with people. The kids had a ball - the Lions were a big hit!

Harry and Lulu

Harry doesn't ask that often to hold Lucy, he is much happier just lying next to her and talking and showing her things. Last week he asked if he could read her a book, so they sat together while he read to her ... it was very cute!

Lucy loves her feet!

BIG blocks!

Harry and I had a morning to ourselves the other day, Holly spent the day at Ivreas house. We spent hours building all sorts of big things with these blocks! Aren't they awesome?

A sunny, but very cold Sunday

Sunday at Kew boathouse. A family picnic in the park. Despite the sun it was absolutely freezing!
Happy birthday Piper!! (and of course Indie!!)
 Lots of Aunty lovin!
Lulu is definitely spoilt at family functions now - she is the only baby!

Cousins sleepover!

Are these not the luckiest kids in the world! Growing up closely with all these cousins! On Tuesday night we had Chilli, Mia and Amelie come and stay for the night. The all had so much fun, they were awesome, so well behaved and played beautifully together.  Here is a quick overview (in reverse!) of the 24 hours.

Gorgeous masks they made

An hour of craft to keep them busy in the morning

A rock show performance on the deck ... worthy of a Grammy!

Mia - besotted with her littlest cousin
The fairies visited over night and left a trail of fairy dust and letter and magic stars for each of them.
In hindsight it was not the brightest idea! When one of them (not mentioning names!) woke up at the crack of dawn, he screamed the house down and made everyone get up and see what the fairies had left!
 Watching a movie before bed
compliments to the chef!  Peer pressure is a wonderful thing!
Dinner for 6?

Belated birthday visit from Auntee Nickee

School Holiday - wet weather indoor play!

Nanny and Pa visit

Nanny and Pa flew down just for Harry's party ... How lucky is he! Thanks Nanny and Pa!
(even with Pa's bung shoulder 2 weeks after his shoulder reconstruction!)
