The adventures of Teddy Blue

Teddy blue is a firm fixture here at ourfamilyfreeman.  Harry is totally in love with him, and he tells him that quite regularly! He kisses him and talks to him and if I ask Harry to do something through Teddy Blue, it is guaranteed to be done quick as a flash!
This is just an insight of Teddy Blue trailing along on a recent walk to the park ...

Teddy Blue had a go at everything that Harry did. He was so tired by the end, Harry even attached Bella's lead and dragged him home!!!

Swimming milestone

Harry has just graduated to the next level in swimming! The kids are usually held back and encouraged to swim with a parent until 3, however they moved him up this week.  He was a champion! Absolutely no problems at all, and if i do say so myself (not bias at all!) he was probably better than the other 2 3+ year olds in his class. Proud? Very much!

Out and about

We forgot the car was being serviced on Monday, so at 9.30 when we remembered, it was a mad dash to pile everyone into the car.  Holly and Harry were in the middle of playing pirates, which they continued to play in the car! No time to get dressed!

Sleeping Lulu

Lucy 4 months

Miss Lucy is now 4 months old.
She is such an inquisitive little girl, always watching us and following us all with her eyes. She seems to take everything in.  She loves to be read to which I have only just started doing.  She has the biggest gummiest grin, and when she flashes that smile it makes the sleepless nights all worthwhile.  She is actually sleeping pretty well, she seems to sleep 12 hours for 3 or 4 nights then for the next few nights will wake at 3.
She gurgles and goo's and gaa's and giggles.  The other day at her 4 month injections the nurse was trying to administer the oral medication (part of the immunization) and she had trouble giving it to her and she was giggling so much it kept coming out. Poor little munchkin had no idea what was coming next - I swear she would have sworn at me if she had of know the words!

Around the house

I have been reminded by more than one person that it has been a while between posts! lets just say, life if a little busy here at the moment. Between 3 days of school for Holly (30min drive each way), swimming, gymnastics trial, kindy and a little baby who seems to live in the car, we don't stop. Oh and did I mention we are renovating a house we just bought???
Any way, there are some snaps from my phone, the camera hasn't had much love lately, but I promise to get it out over the coming weeks.
Holly and Harry baking some cupcakes all by themselves last week.

 Ta-Da!

Luce had a lovely time lying on a blanket with no pants on the other day while we replanted the vege patch.

Face painting at the Knox Festival

On Sunday we ventured off to the Knox Festival, we were lucky enough to dodge the rain, and we ended up staying all afternoon.  Holly and Harry had their faces painted - Harry wanted to be a cat but came out with this gorgeous dog face!!! He looked so funny!  I think his cheeky little personality made it all the more funnier!

On a side note, Harry loves going to kindy, he has quite a few friends down there too, the lastest name that we hear all the time is Velvet. Except Harry can't pronounce it properly and calls her Belbet! Its way too cute. Yesterday Holly and I had a girls day and we went down to pick him up, Harry ran up and grabbed Hollys hand and said "Hollly this is Belvet, and Belvet this is Holly!" WAY too cute and I could have just crushed all three of the with love!

Holly has mastered - NO TRAINING WHEELS!!!

A few weeks ago Hol asked us to take off her training wheels, she was so determind to ride that bike by herself.  She went outside just about everyday and tried and tried and then last week, it just clicked! It was so funny, she caught herself riding alone after about 2 laps of the deck and started laughing and cheering "I'M DOING IT!!!!" We couldn't have been prouder of her, and either could she!
Oh and when I say mastered, she rode all the way to Harrys kindy and back yesterday! 1 hour and 45 minute return trip!

An afternoon in the Carlton Gardens

Last weekend we beat the heat and dragged the kids into the Better Homes and Gardens show at the old Exhibition building.  It was stinking hot in the building so we hotfooted it out the back doors and spend the rest of the time running round the gardens - MUCH more civilized!
Holly and Harry ran around non stops (Harry in his undies!) they watched a bride and groom have their photos taken, and searched every tree for fairies. I even had them convinced that the bird house up in one tree was a fairy house. They then looked for ages under the tree for the "key" to get into the fairy door (a small hole in the tree!!!

A day at the Museum

I remember the first picture of Holly on the "moon" at the museum ... she just looks so grown up now! She was probably only 1 when we first took her!
